Under a catalogue item: "t-shirt" is what a person sells, "t-shirt, M, red" is what a shelf holds. A clinic's consumable is one of these with no options at all.

How much there is, and where, is not here — that is a ledger (R5), for the same reason money is: a quantity column that is written to loses the history of why.
