Deleting a workspace

The owner of a workspace can delete it. Deleting happens in two steps: the workspace closes at once, and its data is permanently deleted 30 days later. Until then the owner can bring it back.

Nothing is refunded

Remaining credit and wallet balance are not refunded when a workspace is deleted. Spend or move what you need before you start.

Who can delete a workspace

Only the owner — the person who created the workspace, or to whom ownership was transferred (see Team members). Other administrators do not see the option. If the owner has left, transfer ownership first.

Before you start

  • Export what you want to keep. There is no one-click export of a whole workspace yet. You can download a conversation's transcript from the conversation, your wallet ledger from Account → Wallet, and your settings from Export / import settings on the Settings → Workspace → Company page.
  • Paid invoices stay available for the period the law requires, even after the deletion.

Deleting

  1. Open Settings → Workspace → Company and scroll to Delete workspace at the bottom of the page.
  2. Choose Delete workspace…. The confirmation shows what you lose: your plan, your wallet balance and any bonus credit (none of which is refunded), and how many channels are connected.
  3. Type the workspace name exactly as it is shown, and enter your password.
  4. If your account uses two-factor authentication, enter a current code. For an e-mail or SMS code, choose Send code first.
  5. Choose Delete workspace.

You receive an e-mail with the date the data will be deleted.

On the mobile app, the owner finds Delete workspace under Menü → Workspace; it opens this page in the web panel.

What happens right away

From the moment you confirm:

  • Nobody can sign in to the workspace — members no longer see it when they sign in, and anyone already signed in sees a "scheduled for deletion" screen. Members of other workspaces keep using those as before.
  • Channels are disconnected. Every connected channel is paused, and for WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and Telegram the connection to the provider is released as well. Customers' messages are no longer received.
  • The chat widget, help centre and public forms stop on your website.
  • Nothing more is charged — subscription renewals and automatic wallet top-ups stop.
  • Scheduled work stops — flows, broadcasts, reminders, follow-ups and syncs with your other tools no longer run for this workspace.

Restoring within 30 days

Sign in as the owner. The workspace opens on a "This workspace is scheduled for deletion" screen showing the date; choose Restore workspace.

Everything comes back as it was: your conversations, contacts, settings and team. The channels the deletion paused are switched back on, but the ones whose connection was released — WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and Telegram — need to be reconnected: open Settings → Channels and choose Retry webhook (Activate number for WhatsApp) on each one marked as failed. The panel lists them when you restore. Channels you had paused yourself before the deletion stay paused.

If you cannot sign in, or the 30 days have just passed, contact support: until the data is actually deleted, an operator can still cancel the deletion at your request.

You get a reminder e-mail about 3 days before the deletion date.

After 30 days

The workspace and all of its data are permanently deleted: conversations, messages, contacts, files, recordings, settings, channels, flows, the knowledge base and everything else. It cannot be recovered.

What is kept:

  • Paid invoices and the wallet ledger — accounting records the law requires us to keep.
  • Your login. Your account is not deleted with the workspace:
    • if you are a member of other workspaces, you keep signing in to those;
    • if this was your only workspace, signing in tells you so and offers to create a new workspace.

You receive a final e-mail when the deletion is complete.
