Deleting your account

You can delete your own ConnectWiz account. It happens immediately and cannot be undone: there is no waiting period and no restore.

This is final

Once you confirm, you are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in with this account again. If you only want to leave one workspace, ask one of its administrators to remove you instead (see Team members).

What happens

  • You leave every workspace you are a member of. In each one you become a former member: the messages you sent and the notes you wrote stay, shown as "Former member" without your name.
  • Your personal data is erased: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, password, two-factor settings and recovery codes, and every signed-in browser, phone and push registration.
  • Your personal email mailbox, if you connected one, is archived in its workspace: switched off and sealed, so nobody can read it. The workspace owner can later hand it over or delete it.
  • We email a confirmation to your current address, just before it is erased.

Workspaces themselves are not deleted. To delete a workspace you own, see Deleting a workspace.

Before you start: workspaces you are in charge of

You cannot delete your account while you are:

  • the owner of a workspace — transfer its ownership first (Settings → Team → the member → Account → Transfer ownership), or delete the workspace; or
  • the only administrator of a workspace — make someone else an administrator first.

The confirmation lists these workspaces for you. A workspace that is already scheduled for deletion does not stop you.

How to delete your account

On the web: open your profile (your name at the bottom of the sidebar → Profile) → Security → Delete my account. Then:

  1. Read what will happen.
  2. Type your email address exactly as shown.
  3. Enter your password.
  4. If two-factor authentication is on, enter a code — from your authenticator app, a code we send by email or SMS, or a recovery code.
  5. Choose Delete my account.

On the phone: open Settings → Delete my account. The app opens the same page of the web panel in your browser; sign in there if asked, and follow the steps above.
