Leads
Leads in the sidebar is the one list of every request that reached you:
| Type | What it is |
|---|---|
| Form | A submission of one of your forms, on ConnectWiz or on your connected website. Spam and forms you handed to someone you already know (a personal link, the front-desk kiosk) are left out. |
| Ad lead form | A lead form filled in on Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google, TikTok or LinkedIn. |
| Conversation | A WhatsApp or Messenger conversation an ad click opened or reopened, or that your website's WhatsApp link started with its reference code. |
It uses the same definition of a lead as the conversion report, but lists every lead record: when a returning customer sends a second form, that is a second row. Tick One per person to count the way the report does.
What each row shows
When it arrived, what it was (the form's name for a form), the person, where they came from (source / medium · campaign, and the ad set and ad when the ad platform said), the channel it arrived on, how far it got and who owns it.
| State | Means |
|---|---|
| New | Nothing has happened yet. |
| Contacted | A team member wrote to the person after the lead, or an ad lead's own status was moved on from New. Wiz's replies, flows, automatic follow-ups and system messages do not count: only a person answering does. |
| Booked | The person made an appointment after the lead. |
| Won / Lost | A deal was won, or lost with none won, after the lead. |
The Value column (won deals, per currency) is shown only to members who may see the conversion report.
Open the record
Select a row to open what it came from:
- a form opens the form submission with every answer;
- a conversation opens it in the inbox;
- an ad lead form opens its card on this page: the answers, the ad it came from, its status, and the Follow up block — write on WhatsApp or any other channel of your workspace, or call.
Select the person's name to open the person.
Filter and search
The same filter bar as the conversion report: period, type, source, medium, campaign, ad, channel, form, state and ad click id, plus a search over the person's name, e-mail and phone and the campaign and ad names. The options list only values your leads carry, with their counts. Everything you pick is kept in the page's address, so a filtered list can be bookmarked or shared. Source → No known source lists the leads that came with no touch, or with one that names no source — the report's "Direct / unknown" row.
Other screens link here already filtered:
- the Source chip in a conversation's header opens the leads from the same campaign (or source);
- the Source card on a contact lists that person's leads, with See all in Leads;
- each row of the conversion report's breakdown opens its own leads.
On the phone
Menu → Leads in the mobile app shows the same list, for the same members. The row of states at the top (all, new, contacted, booked, won, lost) narrows it; the filter button holds the period (today, 7, 30 or 90 days), type, source and campaign, and the search button searches like the web.
Tap a form or ad lead to open it: the answers, the person, where they came from, and two buttons.
- Write offers every channel your workspace can reach the person on — WhatsApp, SMS, e-mail, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram. With one, it opens straight away; with several, you pick; a channel that cannot be used says why. It opens or continues the conversation and sends nothing by itself; outside WhatsApp's 24-hour window the template picker opens first.
- Call works like calling from a contact: a WhatsApp call when the customer allowed it, else your ConnectWiz line, else the phone's own dialer — and asks you to choose when there is more than one way. When a WhatsApp call still needs the customer's permission and you already have a WhatsApp conversation, Ask for call permission sends that request there.
A conversation lead opens the conversation itself. An ad lead's status can be changed on its screen, as on the web.
A new lead also notifies you on the phone and in the panel's bell — see What notifies you.
Lead ad settings
Lead ad settings at the top holds the tools for ad lead forms: importing past leads from Meta, connecting Google Ads lead forms with a webhook, and the automatic follow-up for new ad leads.
Who sees what
The page needs the Manage contacts permission. Inside it, each kind is shown only to members who could open it on its own screen: forms need See forms on a contact or Manage forms — with only the first, a member sees the form leads that belong to a person, and the forms sent without one stay with Manage forms — and conversations follow your inbox access: a member who sees only their own conversations sees only those conversation leads. The page says which kinds your role does not show.
Your AI agent can read the same list through the ConnectWiz MCP server
