IdeaSoft

Connect your IdeaSoft store and four things arrive in ConnectWiz:

  • The customer, on every channel. Someone who bought in your IdeaSoft store is matched to the same person when they write to you on WhatsApp, Instagram, email or the website chat — by email address and by phone number.
  • Orders, shipments and returns. They appear on the customer's contact card, with the carrier, the tracking number and a tracking link, and Wiz uses them to answer "where is my order?".
  • Your store's messages, if you want them. Product questions come into Comments and support tickets into the Inbox.
  • Chat on your storefront. One click puts the ConnectWiz chat on your IdeaSoft store — no theme editing.

IdeaSoft is your own shop, not a marketplace: flows started by your IdeaSoft orders may message the customer, through the usual consent and 24-hour-window rules.

Before you start

  • The API section is visible to the main administrator only (the IdeaSoft user with ID 1). Sign in with that account.
  • On some IdeaSoft packages the API is an add-on. If you do not see Integrations → API in your IdeaSoft panel, ask IdeaSoft to add it to your package.

Connect

  1. In ConnectWiz, go to Settings → Integrations → IdeaSoft. Under Where to find these details you see the Redirect address; press Copy.
  2. In your IdeaSoft panel, go to Integrations → API and click Add API.
  3. Enter ConnectWiz as the application name and paste the Redirect address. Save.
  4. Open Permission management for the new API and choose Read/Write. Read is enough for orders only; answering product questions and the storefront chat need Read/Write.
  5. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret IdeaSoft created.
  6. Back in ConnectWiz, fill in:
    • Store name — the part of your store's IdeaSoft address before .myideasoft.com (for magazam.myideasoft.com, type magazam);
    • Client ID and Client Secret;
    • Order history to import — None, Last 30 days or Last 90 days.
  7. Press Continue to IdeaSoft. Your IdeaSoft panel opens; approve access for ConnectWiz and you come back connected.

ConnectWiz proves the connection against your store's orders before it saves anything. The Client Secret is stored encrypted and never shown again. A store that is already connected to another ConnectWiz workspace cannot be connected a second time.

Approve within a few minutes

IdeaSoft's approval code lives for thirty seconds and the request for fifteen minutes. If you see The connection request expired, press Continue to IdeaSoft again.

What you see after connecting

  • Orders in ConnectWiz — how many orders are held.
  • Last sync — orders are also checked every 15 minutes, so a missed update from IdeaSoft is caught up automatically.
  • Live updates — Active when IdeaSoft tells ConnectWiz about new and changed orders and returns the moment they happen. IdeaSoft drops these subscriptions after repeated delivery failures; ConnectWiz checks them every day and puts back what is missing.
  • Sync now — fetches orders immediately and re-registers any live update IdeaSoft dropped.

The connection stays alive as long as ConnectWiz uses it. If your store's API client is deleted in IdeaSoft, the page says so and asks you to connect again.

The customer on every channel

ConnectWiz matches a person to an IdeaSoft member in this order:

  1. Email. IdeaSoft orders carry the buyer's real email address, so a contact with the same email is matched.
  2. Phone. A WhatsApp or phone contact is matched when exactly one IdeaSoft member ordered with that number. When the number fits more than one person, ConnectWiz suggests the match on the contact card and you decide.
  3. Order number. On the contact card's Orders tab, use Link an IdeaSoft order and type the number the customer gave you. Wiz can do the same in a conversation, but only after the customer proves it is their order (the last four digits of the phone number, or the full name on the order).

An IdeaSoft order never creates a contact on its own: only people who talk to you become contacts.

Orders and returns on the contact card

The Orders tab lists the customer's IdeaSoft orders with the IdeaSoft sign, their status in your language (for example Awaiting approval, Shipped, Delivered), the carrier, the tracking number and a Track parcel link.

IdeaSoft returns and cancellations lists the customer's refund requests, with the reason they picked and the words they added.

Receive the store's messages too

Switch on Receive the store's messages too on the IdeaSoft page. It is off until you turn it on, and it uses one channel slot of your plan.

  • Product questions appear in Comments, under the product they were asked about. An answer is published on the product page for every shopper, so Wiz writes drafts for a person to send — you can turn on automatic answers in the Comments AI settings, after a warning. A question takes one answer: once it has one (from ConnectWiz or typed in your IdeaSoft panel), the composer closes. A question asked anonymously on your store is marked so, and the public answer never names anyone.
  • Support tickets become Inbox conversations, one per ticket. The bar on top shows the ticket code, the subject and IdeaSoft's own status. Replies typed in your IdeaSoft panel appear in the conversation, marked as the store's.

Questions and tickets are checked every five minutes: IdeaSoft has no live updates for them.

Replying to tickets from ConnectWiz is not switched on yet

IdeaSoft does not document how a reply to a support ticket must be written. Until this is tested on a real store, the composer of a ticket conversation is closed with Replies to IdeaSoft tickets are answered in the IdeaSoft panel for now: answer the ticket in your IdeaSoft panel, and the reply appears in ConnectWiz. Product questions are not affected — you answer them from Comments.

Chat on your storefront

Under Chat on your storefront, press Add to storefront. The chat appears on your IdeaSoft store with your workspace's widget settings, and messages arrive in the Inbox like any website chat. Remove takes it off again. This needs Read/Write permission on the API client.

Privacy

ConnectWiz copies only what conversations need: order number, statuses, amount, items, city and district, carrier and tracking, and refund requests. It never stores the national ID number (TCKN), tax number or tax office, the street address or postal code, the buyer's IP address, browser or session, any bank or payment detail, or the gift note. Wiz never sees a full address.

Disconnecting

Disconnect on the IdeaSoft page removes the store: its orders are deleted from ConnectWiz, live updates and the storefront chat are switched off, and the store's questions and tickets stop coming in (conversations already in the Inbox stay readable). Links between contacts and their IdeaSoft accounts stay.
